Solutions to Frost Heave of Railway Subgrade in Seasonal Frozen Soil Region

  • Combined with Binzhou railway engineering practice, the formation mechanism and influencing factors of frost damage are analyzed, and the design principles of railway subgrades in seasonally frozen soil areas in high-cold areas are elaborated. The measures to solve frost heave diseases of railway subgrades in seasonally frozen soil areas in high-cold areas are proposed, mainly including limiting the minimum embankment Height, improvement of embankment filling, optimization of water barrier design, enhanced drainage system design, thermal insulation design, low embankment and cutting design, etc. Operational results show that the measures taken in this paper are effective.
